The Minister of Health Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang was admitted at Johannesburg General Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Minister Tshabalala-Msimang is in a stable condition and is being treated for an infection of the lung. She is expected to remain at the hospital while the hospital staff conducts further medical examinations.
The Department of Health wishes the Minister a speedy recovery.
