The Ministry of Health has noted the concern raised around the participation of the Treatment Action Campaign and AIDS Law Project at the United Nations Special Session on HIV and AIDS in New York.
This matter should be discussed and resolved in a manner that is in the best interest of the image of the country.
The Ministry wants to ensure appropriate projection of the interventions made through a multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS and the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Management, Care and Treatment of HIV and AIDS.
The projection of the country’s response should encompass the progress made in prevention, care and treatment programmes and the difficulties of implementation on the ground.
