The Directorate: Quality Assurance within the national Department of Health is in the process of planning a National Infection Prevention & Control Workshop on the 28th and 29th September 2005 at the Birchwood Executive Hotel, close to the Johannesburg International Airport.
The purpose of the workshop is to provide a forum for wider consultation for inputs from both the public and private health sectors into the existing process whereby a National Policy on Infection Prevention and Control is being developed. The workshop will seek the participation of CSSD managers, infection control officers, environmental health practitioners, occupational health practitioners, surveillance officers, the academia and any other expert in the field of infection prevention and control.
