The Minister of Health Dr Manto Tshabalala Msimang, will deliver her Annual Budget Vote Speech in the National Assembly tomorrow on Friday the 8th of April.
The speech will outline the Department's key areas of focus for the 2005/2006 financial years.
The speech will be preceded by a march through the streets of Cape Town. The march - organized by the Department of Health in conjunction with various stakeholders - is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle in the country.
This march forms part of the National Healthy Lifestyles Campaign - which is the Department's response to the causes of mortality and morbidity - aimed at reducing communicable and non-communicable diseases including non-natural causes of non-natural causes of death.
The campaign advocates good diet, responsible alcohol consumption, regular exercise and avoiding tobacco use.
National Health Minister Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang would lead the march dubbed "Walk for healthy Living" that starts at the Cape Town Grand Parade -along Plein Street - ending in Parliament.
