I, Mantombazana Edmie Tshabalala-Msimang, Minister of Health, hereby designate, in terms of section 3 of the International Health Regulations Act, 1974 (Act No. 28 of 1974), the airports in the Republic listed in the Schedule as sanitary airports.

SCHEDULE

1. Definitions

   In this Schedule any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall bear such meaning and, unless the context otherwise indicates -

   "sanitary airport" means any airport designated in terms of section 3(1)(b) of the Act and deemed by that section to be a sanitary airport for the purposes of the International Health Regulations;

   "the Act" means the International Health Regulations Act, 1974 (Act No. 28 of 1974).

2. Airports

   The following airports are hereby designated as sanitary airports:

   1. Bloemfontein
   2. Durban International
   3. Cape Town International
   4. Gateway
   5. Johannesburg International
   6. Lanseria
   7. Nelspruit
   8. Pilanesberg
   9. Port Elizabeth
   10. Upington
3. Repeal

Government Notice No. R. 856 of 26 April 1991 is hereby repealed in so far as it relates to sanitary airports.
