African Union Conference of Health Ministers - South Africa 2007

PROTOCOL

The normal protocol formalities will be available at the OR Tambo International Airport for arriving delegations.  The Minister/Head of Delegation and one delegate’s entry will be facilitated through the VIP Lounge.  The rest of the delegates will enter through the normal immigration and custom channels. Note:  A dedicated desk will be provided for delegates at OR Tambo International Airport.

In order to facilitate arrival and departure courtesies, delegates are requested to complete Appendix 2 on Travel Arrangements and submit this to the AU Conference Coordination Unit at the Department of Health of South Africa no later than Friday, 16th March 2007.  Any subsequent changes in travel plans subsequently should be notified as soon as possible, using the same form, by fax or e-mail to the same addressee.

The AU Commission is responsible for the general organization and conduct of meetings in conjunction with the Department of Health of South Africa.  The Government of South Africa, as host, will also be responsible for logistics support such as conference facilities, security, protocol, transport and accommodation. Delegates are responsible for their own flight and accommodation payments.
